In a big hypermarket in Northen France, EPTA installed two ECO₂Large refrigeration pack fully equipped with technology:
- active heat recovery, to fully satisfy the store demand of tap water and contribute partially to the heating demand during colder months, reducing the size of the separate heating system;
- the latest FTE 3.0 technology, to improve system efficiency throughout the year both on MT and LT suction line. In fact, the addition of FTE 3.0—with a dedicated sub‑cooler—allows LT evaporators to operate in flooded mode, raising evaporating temperatures and improving overall performance.
- the ETE technology, to guarantee reliable and even more efficient operation during the summer and ambient temperature peaks.
- 2 x ECO2Large packs:
1. - ETE-FTE 3.0
- Heat recovery system
2. - ETE-FTE 3.0 - Both connected with SwitchOn Pack.
- MT design load 514 kW
- LT design load 78 kW
- Store surface: 5000 m2
The key benefits of this high technology installation is the energy saving: the combination of EPTA best system technologies all together allows a combined a very strong double digit saving compared to standard booster technology. Particularly, this store has been on of the first installation of the new FTE 3.0 technology, which allows, adding a sub-cooler as an additional component, to have also the LT evaporators flooded and so a higher evaporating temperatures all year round and both on MT and LT suction.
Thanks to the FTE 3.0 the energy efficiency increase by 12,5% during all year and adding also the ETE this number increase during the warmest months.

It reports the MT evaporating temperature after the commissioning. Translating suction pressure in evaporating temperatures, the gain is + 4.2 K, which translates into roughly 10% of yearly energy saving.

It reports the LT evaporating temperature after the commissioning. Translating suction pressure in evaporating temperatures, the gain is + 3.7K, which translates into roughly 4% of yearly energy saving on top of MT saving.
