WHAT COOKIES ARE

A cookie is a small text file sent by a web server to the user’s browser and stored on the user’s computer, smartphone or tablet. Cookies may be used to ensure the proper operation of a website, remember preferences, measure use of the Site or support personalised advertising. Cookies may be first-party or third-party and may expire when the browser is closed or remain for a limited period.

COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES USED ON THE SITE

The tables below identify the technologies expected for the Site, their purpose, provider, type and default duration. Actual names and durations may vary according to configuration, browser restrictions and provider updates.

GOOGLE TAG MANAGER

The Site uses Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to manage and deploy tags. Google Tag Manager is a tag-management system and is not listed as a cookie because it does not, by itself, set the analytics or advertising cookies described below. Tags deployed through it may activate Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, subject to the user’s consent where required.

LEGAL BASIS

Strictly necessary cookies are used to provide the Site and services requested by the user and to pursue the Controller’s legitimate interest in ensuring security and technical operation. Analytics, marketing, profiling and social-media cookies are used on the basis of the user’s consent, where required. Refusal does not prevent general browsing, but some optional functions or personalised content may be unavailable.

HOW CONSENT IS COLLECTED

On first access, the Site displays a banner that enables the user to accept all optional cookies, reject them or manage preferences by category. Closing the banner or continuing to browse does not constitute consent. Preferences may be changed or withdrawn at any time through the “Manage cookies” link in the Site footer. The banner may be shown again when required, including following material changes or removal of the cookie that records preferences.

HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES

Users may manage preferences through the Site’s “Manage cookies” tool and through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies through the browser may impair Site functionality.

RECIPIENTS AND DISCLOSURE

Data collected through cookies may be processed by authorised and trained employees and collaborators of the Controller, providers of IT, technical, organisational and digital-marketing services acting as processors, and third parties that provide optional technologies where the user has consented. Personal data will not be disseminated.

USER RIGHTS

Users may exercise the rights provided by applicable data-protection law, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. Requests may be sent to the Controller at the address above or to compliance@eptarefrigeration.com. Users may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
